I have created multiple Digital Interactive Notebooks for my students using Canva and PowerPoint. These notebooks have drag and drop, text-entry, and multiple-choice questions.
I recognize that it is important to teach with your audience in mind. Everyone is all about technology. There are times when the old pencil and paper method are preferred, but a lot of our training and instruction is found online. In fact, most adults prefer this method of learning. Oftentimes, it takes less of our time and time is valuable!!
This is a snip of the Reading Junior High Staff Course. The teachers go here to load documentation of planning, lessons, complete trainings, find important documents, etc.
Some people have really messy modules! It can be very confusing to users when they are having to wade through all your materials. I have included a snip of one of my modules. I use the modules in my current LMS to keep myself organized and able to find what I need quickly and efficiently!
Last Spring the principal came to me and asked if I could come up with a way for the teachers to have a full day of planning once a week. (Their students would be elsewhere). This was a daunting task. Finding somewhere for 500 students for both 7th and 8th grades to go throughout the day!! Yikes!! I came up with the floating elective idea.
The main reason I am including this here is to demonstrate my ability to create systems of organization.
During this process I created a detailed excel spreadsheet. This spreadsheet has pages that link to one another and change when data is input.
